Well no we do that already here. It's more people want Altsounds to review them. If you're only happy reviewing music you like this won't be for you then as it would probably be a lot of shit and some quality amongst it. The idea is more we will offer our honest opinion on you and will review evrything we receive.

What do you think of this guy, Heron?:

Very AC... Maybe too much so (i.e. derivative)?

I like.

In 'Trickledown' I think perhaps there is more a direct influence from Panda Bear/Brian Wilson more than AC as you refer to (there is no doubt AC and in particular Panda Bear are influenced by Mr Wilson, but that's only come apparant in their recent music - I actually prefer AC and Panda Bear, as much as I dig Brian and his Beach Boys work - I think they do more with that sound/style, explore it more). I also hear a little Beck. Not that Beck is a particularly big man.

'How Soon' sounds like a less electro Cut Copy, mixed with a little Spoon (pun intended - mine always are, being a cheesy bastard) and The National. Nice track.

'Crashers' is perhaps my favourite. There's a little Talking Heads in there, and someone else I can't quite think of right now.

Anyway thanks for the heads up. I have just requested his 'friendship' (in the Myspace sense of the word).

heyyyy 'heron' i went to go see these guys in Liverpool but missed half their set because we forgot our tickets! No!!
Were amazing, but finished just as i was getting into it :(
I wish they had played some more heavier stuff though, but i guess that's all part of the anticipation. They're not exactly a crowd pleaser, but they know how to make the crowd want more!
