Nickelback - Dark Horse [Album] This was the long-awaited sequel to 'All the Right Reasons' and it was even more highly anticipated when Grammy-award winning producer Robert Lange (AC/DC, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, Def Leppard) climbed onboard to work his magic. And in my opinion, it worked. It may not be Back to Black, but it's certainly back to Nickelback; hard-working, gut-clenching rock with intimate lyrics. I've read many reviews about this album, and they are all mixed. Some rated it a half out of five, whilst others give it four and a half or even five, and I'm with them - mine's nearer the 5. Their single, 'Gotta Be Somebody', is one I'm sure you've heard whether you wanted to or not as it has been continuously been blasted through the radio airwaves for the last month or so. I always have this feeling about songs on a band's album, you always know the 'single song' and this is it. And you can tell the others, 'If Today Was Your Last Day' and 'I'd Come For You', good songs in their own right too. They are the classic love songs, if you understand me. They're the 'How You Remind Me' and 'Photograph' of this album and will clearly be the ones which attract peoples' attention and inevitably direct them to buy their record, thus digging deeper into their other songs.
