Like a Punk Rock Vines!
Anyone who remembers the moment when
Craig Nicholls of
The Vines rolled around stage on
Later with Jools Holland, making a series of monkeylike noises whilst continually entangling himself in cables and leaving anything remotely musical to his fellow band members will enjoy this track.
King of Conspiracy re-kindle some of this in their energetic new single
‘Youth Against the Empire’, and quite frankly we need it, because when Nicholls perverted the Holland stage that night he showed what music should be about and so do
King of Conspiracy. Music needs to be less
Chris Martin-personality-less drivel and more
entertainment, performance and engagement. So many bands these days are easy to forget and pass us by without making their mark on us, bands like
King of Conspiracy, The Vines & The Kinison try to undo the work of those faceless morons that are in the limelight for most of our musical lives. We need a new wave of
At the Drive-In’s. A new set of bands that we will go and see and we don’t care if they don’t tune their guitars or what sensible pencil markings they have on their hand.
King of Conspiracy are here to help!
Enough about the band then, the single [
Youth Against The Empire] is filled with
originality, energy and entertainment. With
great vocals, intense drums and jagged guitars the track moves through testing dance beats with walls of guitars
like a teenage Reuben.
'Youth Against The Empire' is definitely worth a listen. So refreshing from an industry polluted with generic mass-produced Indie. Let
King of Conspiracy carry the torch of Rock, they’ve got my vote.
Sounds like: Reuben, The Vines, The Kinison, At the drive-in.
