Drift Records - Out 23rd February
Do you remember that bit at the end of Back To The Future III when Doc Brown is on the train and it can't be stopped, Marty's on the hover-board etc. It's 1885. You all remember it well? OK, my point is, if you can remember that scene at the end then 'Outlaws' is the track I can picture sound tracking it; in fact, I can picture it sound tracking every runaway train scene ever filmed!
There's just something about it's galloping nature - the drums, the bass, the guitars - everything here pounds along at a pace designed to wear out the soles of your shoes [or if your adverse to show wearing then be prepared to have bleeding feet]! Le Reno Amps create the sort of in your face music, that whether you like it or not you know you'll damn sure be humming the track for a good couple of weeks and 'Outlaws' is a prime example of this.
Backed by the stomping rock [I'm not going to say ballad but it's got those qualities - not a ballad though people] of 'Trial and Correction' and 'Beach Hut' that's much more laid back yet keeps the faint whiff of Irish country charm [from a Glaswegian band].
Le Reno Amps reach the speed velocity of 88 MPH travelling back to the future to create a distinctive blend of 21st century rock mixed with 20th century hill-billy rock. As Marty McFly would say "Whoa this is heavy!".
Track-listing:
1. Outlaws
2. Trial and Correction
3. Beach Hut
