Bad reviews aren't the nicest thing to read, and, unless something is actually that bad, I tend to refrain from such strong remarks. I am afraid though that this track missed the good bin. Out on 30th March, Apparation is an unfortunately apt title, as you may well wish it to disappear after listening or purchasing.

The track opens with a nice guitar riff, which is then quickly spoiled by poor fuzzy cymbals that seem to run through the track like soft white noise. It is however the vocals that really let the song down. They are very difficult to understand and sound more like melodic noise, echoing the instrumentals rather than actual words. That could just been me; the irony was I could actually make out the word "apparition".

Joking aside, this track sounds all too similar to what's out there already and the only good part for me was the guitar playing from both the lead and bass. Luckily with vocals taking a back seat in indie nowadays, that maybe their only saving grace.

Overall, the song isn't horrendously bad, it just could have been so much better. I did, however, find it strange that there was no corresponding MySpace page for the band. Now, for any prospective indie band out there wanting to make it big, MySpace really is your Garden of Eden. Perhaps I wasn't searching correctly?

My apologies for such a short review of this track (it's coming up close to 270 words now), but there isn't much left to say. Here's to the second single?
