Now this here single ain’t half bad. The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band ring in the release of their fourth studio album, with a preview single featuring two impressive tracks, ‘Mama’s Fried Potatoes’ and ‘Can’t Pay The Bill’, from their appropriately named album, The Whole Fam Damnily.

‘Mama’s Fried Potatoes’ comes storming in with The Rev’s hearty, meaty drawl of “I wanna thank y’all for the food that you made us/But it don’t hold a candle to Mama’s Fried Potatoes”. And fair enough really.

The Rev’s wife, ‘Breezy’ absolutely shreds the washboard the entire way through the track (check her out in the video below, AMAZING!) and the hollering chorus finale makes sure you really know who makes the best fried potatoes.
‘Can’t Pay The Bill’ is a more paced, bluesy tune where the Rev lets brother Jayme shine with a raucous drum line that makes the track catchy as hell and bucket loads of fun.

The single is straight up and does exactly what a good single should, stating the Rev’s business up front so you’ll know from the first few seconds of either track whether The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is for you.
