If Hadouken where American then i suspect this is exactly how they would sound. Cue the basic drum beat, catchy chorus and simple use of synths. Taken from their self titled debut album described as "a collection of sounds and lyrics reflecting the energy of our moment". Indeed this is correct, some catchy little to tune to hit the NME jockstraps. Did i mention they have funky hair cuts?

Inevitably this track gets in your head ridiculously easily. Annoying as it is, it is an alright tune. Repetitive in the chorus and cheesy as stinking bishop in a sock draw but it bloody well works. I'm not quite sure what Metro Station are asking us to shake, I'm sure most of us will be shaking our cheeks on the dancefloors to this for a little time to come. From past experience of bands like Metro Station, it doesn't seem that they will be around for along duration, the second album will probably never happen, although it is Sony BMG they are singed to.

The basic patterns gives us no indication as to their influences, having only birthed in 2006 it seems they know what is going to sell and have stuck to it. If the single is anything to go by then the album will probably be the same.

Buy the album and give it a listen, maybe, or not.
