It’s Saturday Night, silence rules in your living room and there’s not a lot to say to your box of chocolate ice cream. At this moment only one thing can make you feel slightly better: Kelman’s third ‘download only’ single ‘NYE’.

The song takes you down on a trip to someone who passed the line between loneliness and desperation. Thanks to the simple but effective melody you get very involved with the man who seduces a woman into his apartment with, like he says, a sincere pick-up line. And though he acknowledges that the relationship is completely forced, he just needs it to work.

The Spectoresque music goes through all stadiums of loneliness; from the period of calmness in the beginning where the fact hasn’t got through, until the moment the disappointment reaches its low and changes into aggressiveness. The musical accompaniment contains both beauty and confusion and it really makes you feel sorry for the lesser-blessed couple.

The song is, however, also something everyone can relate to; less desperate people also know the feeling of being alone and the feeling of helplessness that goes with it.
