My favourite bar in the world. Known for it’s quality jukebox, whiskey and the big name metal and rock bands that frequent it when they are in town. The Crobar really is a legendary venue and what better way to celebrate that experience by allowing you to take a little piece of that home with you. Now I can feel like I’m in the Crobar when I’m in the shower, on the toilet or even washing the dog (if I had one), by simply pouring myself a glass of the brown stuff and slapping this CD on, at a bloody loud volume of course. I am whisked back to the iconic hole in the wall.

Right, down to the music. This is a pretty solid, ballsy affair all the way through. These songs are all classics and you won’t find any Metallica or Maiden on here. It’s more about the groove, with bands like Corrosion of Conformity, Clutch, Down and Taint. There is a lot of older tracks on here from the likes of Judas Priest, Testament, ZZ Top, Motorhead and many more. There is such a mix of styles on here ranging from thrash, hardcore, classic metal, all you need to know is that it is all metal, all the way through and there is something for every metal fan.

If you’re looking for a great CD to put on before your heading out for the night or in the car on the way to the show, this is it. Screw any of those typical metal comps with all the big names and songs of the time; this is pure timeless metal beauty full of tracks that have already proved their worth. If you can’t visit the Crobar itself this is the perfect way to get the vibe of the place. If you have, this will remind you of why you keep going back.
