There isn’t that much to do in Telford, which is why these lads probably decided to form a band.

I’m not sure if the lyrics about zombies and devouring flesh is derived from the bands actual personal experience or from a minor interest in the subject. For arguments sake I would say that the band are most likely to be actual zombies! I say this because of their zombie-like ability to write music. This short, [very short] CD lasts just a touch over 12 minutes and comprises of a mediocre attempt to continue something that The Misfits started many years ago. I may be referencing The Misfits incorrectly and Dead Pleasures may have never heard of the band however, since two members have tattoos of the famous Misfits moniker, I highly doubt it!

There isn’t much to say about A Chorus of Corpses apart from the fact that it’s very average and very badly recorded. The lyrics are very unimaginative and the vocals consistently monotone. Yes I know that it is similar to how The Misfits sounded all those years ago but their recordings sound rough because of the equipment they had at the time. A Chorus of Corpses have either tried to copy that sound badly or have simply just been recorded badly. The key point being that it sounds bad.

I don’t really have much more to say about this release. I am aware that it may be the first release from Dead Pleasures and that the budget wouldn’t have been much but sadly the songs and vocal ability aren’t there to carry this album anywhere above average.
