I start this review with shall we say a confession: Deathcore as a genre I find to be quite annoying. More so in my area where there seems to be a huge over saturation of it! Knowing that I had to review the new album by Suicide Silence I figured that in the interest of fairness I would give this...

Have you never been in the pit? If so you should just for the experience alone. Last Christmas at a gig in Cardiff Barfly we were doing team pits with one person on another's shoulder. It was an awesome laugh, but falling down wasn't that fun - especially as I was on the shoulders so it was a lot further to fall! Having a good session in the pit can be an awesome time so make sure you have a go at least once in your life, I mean at a proper metal show too and not pitting to some shit pop music - everyone seems to have a pit these days haha.

to be entirely honest i have never been to a proper rock gig.
lived a sheltered life in that way.
the whole noise/grindcore scene is getting my interest at the moment, mainly because i dont fully understand it, which i reckon is always a good thing.
so i reckon its time to pop the pit cherry for me!
