For all that we are embellished with electro/disco sounding bands and the like nowadays it's rare that you come across a band that can perfectly combine the balance of all that's good about 80's synth-pop and the post-millenia nu-rave movement but in Defend Moscow we have our one such band combining the sleek polish of The Human League, taking a lovely dollop of their male/female vocals and stirring it all together with the fine beats of say a Klaxons albeit more firmly routed in the glam jangle than the glow-stick mentality.

'Die Tonight' might not be the most subtle of titles but right from the offset it's clear there will be no morbidity here instead we are hit with a swirl of funky bass-lines and cool as ice synth rhythms it's instantly moveable and likeable, well infact likeable is far to tame a word for it I'm going to go with fantasmagorical it's made up but seems to perfectly fit. Just listen to it and try telling me you didn't just find it even a little enticing with those cooed boy/girl vocals that oh so coyly slither over the most dancefloor-tastic of beats.

Defend Moscow people (not the capital of Russia as I'm sure those Russkies are perfectly capable of looking after themselves) are a joy to behold and to sum this up just get the single and listen to b-side 'Sign of Life' nuff said.
