Let's get a little of the press release information out of the way as this might explain things a little bit certainly better than I could:
"'Kongulo' is the Icelandic word for spider. The song is about Frenchman Alain Robert, known as the 'human spiderman' famous for climbing skyscrapers using just his bare hands."
Sounds like a rather cool yet clearly utter bonkers Pierre and no before you ask the song is not in Icelandic which is good because my grasp of English is bad enough without curveballing me some Icelandic. However; Hafdis Huld is a rather beautifully voiced Icelandic ex-circus patron who has been travelling our shores playing with the likes of Paolo Nutini and FC Kahuna and writing in some very good company, this has led the the release of 'Kongulo' which is about this bloke as mentioned:
It's a lovely little tale dedicated to Robert telling tales of his daring and somewhat nonchalance to what he was doing, and also as to how folk were not in amazement at it "he's got style and still they tell the police". There's also some wonderful little lines dotted all over the place such as "afraid of heights when it comes to flights of stairs", "it made us so even keener when he hitched a ride with a window cleaner" and "you'll never see him in an elevator" it's all wonderfully off the wall (no pun honest!) and is set to a meandering little marching ballad.
Check out the delightful video featuring none other than a failing Peter Parker himself and delight in Miss Huld pink knitwear if that's up your street. Truly bewildering yet serene and sweet.
