The Beach Soundtrack was and still is a truly beautiful work of musical art. Anytime the film is on or someone mentions it the first thought that pops into your head is Moby - Porcelain. An unreal piece of chill out ambient electronic music and pretty much his best ever work. From then on Moby seemed to be releasing average records, like the album Hotel. It was an "OK" record, nothing bad could be said about it, and nothing amazing. Can Moby hit 2009 with another stunner?

'Pale Horses' is Moby's first self released single through Little Idiot Records. The nine track (yes that's right nine track) single features the nine different versions of 'Pale Horses'. As usual Moby uses some synthetic ambient melodies and gentle drum patterns. This alongside a beautiful vocal from Amelia Zirin Brown puts Moby back to where he began. After listening a few times she does get a little annoying with the lines "put me on the train", after 20 listens you do want to chuck the girl on a train. Depressing lyrics seem to be quite a feature in Moby's tunes, 'Pale Horses' is no exception. "Look at all the places where all my family died", nice huh? Quite an uplifting piece. Jokes aside the progression into the ever present chorus synth chord sequence leaves the ears tingling and Moby once again produces a brilliant track. No way near as special as his debut pieces, but an easy listen by miles.

Gui Boratto makes an appearance with his ambient dance remix named 'Pale Horses' (Gui Boratto's Last Window Remix). Again another generic simple dance rework from the Brazilian that's an easy DJ favourite. By pretty much doubling the length of the track (original 3:34, this mix 7:38) Gui spreads the build up across the time to a nice climax of synths and then drops the vocals in every now and again. Every other rework sounds the same apart from the last track named, 'Pale Horses' (Empyrean Dub Version) that has a surprise guitar solo throughout. By starting off with an acoustic and building up with some brush stick drum beats this is certainly the best remix on the single.

Moby may have peeked at 'Porcelien' but there is as they say "Life in the old dog yet", not that I'm saying you're a dog or old or anything Moby! You know what I mean.

I think thats twice i have made you laugh now, prodigy review you laughed at to. Yes i do have a sense of humor, .

He seems like a really lonely fella, really timid and quiet. I watched an MTV cribs on him ages ago.

Quality producer though
