And so it goes, more cheeky chappy indie-pop nonsense from the south. Honestly I actually quite like The Maccabees but there really is no need for 2 of them, let alone a diluted boy-band approximation of them.

'Run' is a perfectly pleasant song that manages to tackle the middle ground between Snow Patrol and The Kaiser Chiefs with ease. It's not big and clever and it's not aimed at me either; I am after-all a cynical, old bastard (23 is like fucking Methuselah in today's musical climate) and I'd imagine this band are all still in their teens at best so if they ever stumble across this review they will probably just laugh it off.

Anyway I can't really think of much else to say here, you can probably guess from my brief description exactly how this song will start and how it will end and all the plodding, melodic smugness that will fill in the middle like a doughnut which is just too sweet to stomach.

If your a 15 year old girl and your favourite band is McFly you'll love this with the burning intensity of a thousand dying suns (especially if they is like well buff). For the rest of us it's just static.
