Guildford seems to be the home to all of the up and coming Deathcore at the moment with Sylosis making big waves on the live circuit. Quickly entering the fray is No Consequence with their debut album 'In The Shadow of Gods'.

As soon as the album kicks in the first impression is that it is just going to be more of the same old, same old however, throughout the course of 'In The Shadow of Gods' No Consequence prove they have the musicianship and skills to go far if they let themselves continue to grow in the aftermath of this debut album.

Musically the solos are very well written and played and are of a similar ilk as Exit Ten, Sylosis and math-core peers Dillinger Escape Plan. The rest of the musicianship also shows great potential which, if honed correctly will allow No Consequence to go far on the circuit in the future. Also, considering they're touring with Evita next month this in itself could be their breakthrough tour.

It's also really nice to hear clean, melodic vocals mix well with the usual growling vocals [that you would expect] on 'In The Shadow of Gods' as screamin and growling on it's own can get annoying and monotonous after a while.

For a debut album, 'In The Shadow of Gods' by No Consequence feels like a welcome effort and hopefully they will do well in the coming months and years.
