When looking through the CD booklet that came with 'Juggernaut' by Drone I noticed that Wacken (the german rock festival) seemed to now had a record imprint. As far as I know Drone are the only band currently representing the label. 'Juggernaut' kicks off like a kick to the groin with the break beats reminding me of Fear Factory circa 'Demanufacture' era which to me, and a whole load of other people is not a bad thing at all!

Vocally it's reminiscent of Burton mixed with Soilwork's vocalist helping to give a powerful voice that severely projects the geavy loudness across the room quite easily, particularly on 'Heavy-metal Pisstake' and the title track 'Juggeraut'. Fans of nu-metal will particularly enjoy the crossover track 'No Pattern' which features rapping followed by a seriously intense growl. Drone as musicians show a fluid chemistry throughout 'Juggernauts' with tight solos that help to mix thrash with a mild taste of Industrial making a nice diversity to it all including the rapping that I previously mentioned that occurs on 'No Pattern'.

Overall 'Juggernauts' is a great album and Drone are a worthy contender for a band to watch out for over the next year as I am sure they will continue to go from strength to strength. Catch them in Europe [at Wacken] in August for what I would imagine will be a great set.
