Blatta & Inesha are an Italian Electro-House duo, much in demand on the the ever burgeoning Electro-House scene. Blatta & Inesha specialize in big-room, clubby, Electro-House and have a gig list that takes in both North and South America, as well as the ever present Ibiza.
Blatta & Inesha’s tracks have been charted by the well known and well respected Moby, so it may be safe to say that Blatta and Inesha have become staples in the Electro-House diet.
The “A” side 'Revolution' gets straight into the beat with a lovely round kick coupled with some edgy, cut up, time-stretched and distorted vocals and the track quickly settles into a clubby groove. The customary synthesized blips are present, as is the house/tech bass, so all the boxes are being ticked. 'Revolution' is a definitive “club” tune with lots of Bass automation/modulation and is strongly reminiscent of some of Fatboy Slim’s output as well as the more “Pop” orientated Chemical Brothers releases. 'Revoultion' is very bouncy and very ably produced and will inevitably be played by DJ’s across the Globe.
Side "B" 'Stepoff' continues the groove laden theme of the EP with some nice arpeggiation and a simply lovely [I hate to admit it] acid house /early rave synth sequence. This is coupled to a deep Breakbeat section and a big, bouncy bass line. Add all the parts of 'Stepoff' together and you get a peak-time Club monster that harks back to the good old days of dance music. Well done to the two Italians.
The other “B” side 'People' raises the tempo up a notch, veering on Hard House territory and again marries a cut up vocal with a bouncy bass line. The synth bass grinds a little more in 'People' and Blatta & Inesha even manage to throw in some synth siren noises to good effect.
All in all this is not a bad release. It is well produced and full of groove and funkiness that will inevitably establish Blatta & Inesha as the cream on the global Electro-House pizza pie.
