If you like infectious things such as bubble-wrap or the imminent threat of alcoholism that you teeter on every Saturday night, whilst also possessing a love of the more jangle-some things in life then The Jacks little ditty 'Not Me Not You' is more than likely going to be something you will favour as it'll worm it's way into your spongy head like Lego into a child's nostril- such is it's inherent catchiness.
Full of guitar hooks that remind me much of Modest Mouse's breakthrough single 'Float On' but with a little too much zest pumped into it. It's a similarly start-stop affair that continues throughout the track before giving way to 'Do Or Don't' which again comes loaded with quirks as far ranging as the Television style intro to the Belle & Sebastian oohs and aahs.
There is certainly plenty to find favour with here but I can see many folk just finding it all a little too cheery in this day and age where everyone just wants some misery to match the world outside, but if you feel you can sneak in a wry smirk now and again I'm sure The Jacks would be happy to supply the ammunition.
