If you like lounge music then I guess 'Strike 3' is the sort of record that you would find some interest in but personally I find it all just repetitive. I mean there's no denying it's quite a funky little groove that's going on but really it just goes on and on and on. If this is the sort of thing I'd be looking for I'd be dating the Duracell bunny. Like I say it's charming no doubt in it's own little way, but it bored me enough to skip on.
So I skipped to second track 'Cos You're Beautiful' where somewhat unsurprisingly I came across more of the same which I honestly couldn't really distinguish from the previous track. That was until the brooding vocals appeared reminding me for some reason of that Moby album where every track came with a free TV advert or something like that.
Really that sums this release up for me, it's the sort of music I could picture sound-tracking commercials and I suppose that's no bad thing as it makes a few quid for Silver Man. Track-listing:
1. Strike 3
2. Cos You're Beautiful
