My Passion are probably one of the bands to watch in 2009. Kerrang seem to love them, they've toured with Kill Hannah and Innerpartysystem thus far in their career and they fit in nicely with the cyberpunk crowd!

Following on from the single 'Thanks For Nothing' I was hoping 'Corporate Flesh Party' would carry the good vibe that the previous 3 minutes I had heard gave.

Luckily I didn't need to worry about 'Corporate Flesh Party' as the influence of MSI and The Blood Brothers was still there and there was the presence of a bunch of extra influences I noticed when listening to 'Corporate Flesh Party'.

The vocals reminded me in a very eerie fashion of Burt from The Used which left me in two minds to be fair; great that the Used is an influence but the almost identical vocal sound will make it very easy for some people to mistakenly think that Burt has done a new project (if they hadn't seen a band picture of course).

Musically 'Corporate Flesh Party' sounds very polished fitting in with My Passion's overall style and sound, hell I even wanted little intros in some of the songs to enhance them even more.

'Corporate Flesh Party' is a good debut album that should help carry on the praise that My Passion have already been gathering. I also hope to see them live soon too, just to see if the sound transcribes as well or better on stage. The Used are on tour in September of course [he says jokingly, but My Passion supporting The Used would be cool]!

For once I have discovered a band that is worth the hype.
