Placebo - For What It's Worth [Single] 1 Attachment(s) When bands haven’t released anything official in over 3 years there is always going to be a lot of anticipation when they finally put something out there. And it is no different for alternative indie rock legends Placebo, whose fans have been waiting since 2006 to sample something fresh from boys. The latest single, ‘For What It’s Worth’ is taken from Placebo’s 6th studio album Battle For The Sun, which has already been gathering praise since its release at the beginning of June. Placebo come in with distorted guitars which, alone is ominous enough, then layered with lead singer, Brian Molko’s pleasantly nasal tone, “The end of the century/I said my good-byes/for what it’s worth, I aim to please”. The almost dance speed beat with excessive symbols make the single the perfect return to the scene for the alternative indie must-have band. A solid single, from a staple band, which has me intrigued for more. ![]() |
