Re-releasing the track that brought them to the attention of those outside of Preston (helped largely by them bagging ‘Myspace Artist of the Week’) perhaps suggests that Team Waterpolo (and/or their record label) are already getting a little desperate. Yes I know re-releasing singles is nothing new, but it IS a pet hate of mine, and is the equivalent of re-using tea bags – stop trying to get every last drop out. Sometimes you need to stop thinking about the money and just brew yourself a fresh cup.

So what does it taste like second time around? Slightly weak for sure, but it’s still as sweet as sugary pop and although it may be far from new, my god you can’t help but have another taste (that’s caffeine for ya). OK lame beverage comparisons aside, as I am wishing I hadn’t started that now (but you know, when working with tight deadlines, sometimes you just have to stick with the first crap that comes into your head), this song is basically a series of inconsequential verses, interspersed with the spliced chorus’ from Abba’s ‘Mamma Mia’ and Franz Ferdinand’s ‘Do You Wanna?’ – the result of which turns out to be as catchy as the softly softly approach to bagging yourself a monkey.

Sure you’ll want to hate this and never listen to it again – but we all know that’s not gonna happen. More tea vicar?
