Altsounds - Nara - Rhythm [Single]

Rhythm is a big word. I believe that it is the only word in the English dictionary that does not contain a vowel, and one that conjures up a vast array of emotional content. Nara believes that “Rhythm is what makes it all OK” and I have to agree. Well at least a bit anyway, for the sake of my heart.

On to the single, “Rhythm”. Nara ventures deep into Vocal House territory “its all about the rhythm, its all about the beat” and her producers have added some crisp elements to her otherwise excellent sounding voice.

“Rhythm” features some lovely Piano and Guitar call and response pieces and some trance synthesizer sections while also having the time and space to add a big lead guitar. OK the lyrics lack a little depth, with lines such as “feel the music in your vein, slowly rising to your brain” but as a vocal house / lounge music goes, “Rhythm” is unobtrusive, deceptively simple and yet, effective.

“Rhythm” is not going to be a number one and it is not going to set either the Pop World, or the Dance World alight, but it will get played, it will get loved and it may even get a decent remix to take it on to another level.

Nara is one to keep a gentle eye on, as she matures as an artist, and a performer, she may take big strides in the music world. Taking her love for a soulful, summertime beat with her. There is more to come, one would imagine.
