Wall Street Riots - One More Ride [Single] 1 Attachment(s) Just by listening to Wall Street Riots you can tell they have come a long way since the two founding members, Karnig Karayan (Guitar) and Charlie Cosser (Vocals) started out playing Nu-metal all those years ago. Bringing us to the present date and now a four piece, Wall Street Riots have created a musical cocktail of pure punk mixed nicely with what can only be described as a ‘Brit-Pop’ edge. The London Based quartet are the kind of band you would have great difficulty pigeon-holing into one genre or category. Wall Street Riots seem to have both a grungy and punk sound to them with a vocal styling similar to the Arctic Monkeys. Wall Street Riots bring an energetic and rebellious sound to your playlist with this single ‘One More Ride’ being merely a taster of just what to expect if you decide to check out their debut EP ‘Playground Politics’ which was released in May of this year. 'One More Ride' is, as previously mentioned highly influenced by both Brit-pop and Punk and although it has a twisted and raw feel to it instrument wise, it still remains a radio friendly track that will appeal to the lovers and haters of the heavier genres. For the most part 'One More Ride' is an energy fuelled track, however, the melodic and slightly soothing breakdown ensures it offers something different to the listeners ears from time to time during the lifespan of the track. Although 'One More Ride' by Wall Street Riots may not appear to offer us anything new in particular, it still ensures that we get some good listening fodder from start to finish. ![]() |
Re: Wall Street Riots - One More Ride [Single] Sounds interesting and I might have to check this one out. Their image comes over as Pop Punk, is this the case musically? |
Re: Wall Street Riots - One More Ride [Single] Not really pop-punk so much, well not like you would expect. To be honest i was shocked, they seemed to be more along the lines of bloc party and arctic monkeys more than anything, had a good rhythm to it, well worth a look |
