T For Tunes
"The Black Box Revelation might not be reinventing the wheel" their PR chirps, "But one thing for sure..they're certainly adding to it". Aside from their child-like grammar and sentence construction - they are in PR I guess - I'm also left wondering how exactly you add to a wheel. Chrome Rims? Whitewalls?
Anyhoo, on to 'I Think I Like You' by The Blackbox Revelation. The Belgian duo have obviously decided to set out boldly with the objective of proving that their country has more culturally to offer the planet than mayonnaise on chips and mind-bendingly strong beer.
Sadly however their mission has failed, as they wind up sounding like a weak Rolling Stones tribute band, with lead vox Jan Paternoster proving his copy of 'It's Only Rock And Roll' is stuck on repeat back at the old waffle factory.
My advice? Stick it in the box marked "derivative shit not worth a nanosecond of my time" and then pass me the Hellmans, will ya?
