Azzido da Bass (also known as Ingo Martens) is a German based producer of Electro House. Ingo has been in the dance scene for a good number of years now and first came to prominence internationally when the Timo Mass remix of his “Dooms Night” reached number 8 in the British Charts. Even though Azzido da Bass has been around for a long time, his sound is constantly evolving with the trends. I personally remember him best for his remix of 'D.H.S – House of God' back in the late 90’s, but here Azzido da Bass has released a big room Electro House number – 'I Want You.'

The 'I Want You' single features Part 1 and Part 2 that are both by Azzido Da Bass himself, followed up by Two Jence remixes (one half of Digitalism) and a Gooseflesh (up and coming Turkish duo) rework.

'I Want You - Part 1' is a straight up 4/4 number that builds up into a big spoken breakdown. It has a slightly “rocky” vocal feel and a synth line that has some pitch modulation on it to add some suspense and direction. Fans of "Zombie Nation” and “Fukkk Off ” will like 'I Want You,' and it is no surprise that all these artists have shared remix duties for each other at one point in time or another. Part 1 also features a rave piano breakdown for those ubiquitous “hands in the air” Electro House moments.

'I Want You - Part 2' is a much funkier offering. The main vocal from Part 1 has been chopped up, spread about the place and fused with some nice synth stabs. Part 2 of 'I Want You' also adds some wobbly bass to the equation and also brings back the rave piano breakdown. The effect is that the rave piano section coupled with the highly edited and effected vocal makes Part 2 a very bouncy, funky and danceable number, that fans of Daft Punk would probably appreciate.

“Jence” from Digitalism is on remix duties for two of the five tracks on 'I Want You,' but don’t be fooled into thinking they are the same. First up is the straight up 'Jence Remix' which has a very, very Daft Punk esque intro with a hefty dose of Justice thrown in for good measure. The vocal has been chopped up and vocoded and there is a big voice and synthesizer breakdown which I must say is relatively pleasant.

The 'Jence Dub Mix' is probably the stand out. There is a vocal pad sound that adds some much needed depth and suspense to the track and it is obvious that “Jence” is an able and intricate producer. On the Dub Mix, Jence has stripped back everything and this has the effect of giving the track a groovier rhythm and less congested feel.

The 'Gooseflesh Remix' is in a more robotic style, with the vocal being set close up in the mix and it has a very well produced middle section. The Turkish duo have done justice to the “Original” but not taken any giant leaps forward with their remix of 'I Want You' and certainly not such a big step as “Jence” has done with his remixes.
