Self Released
There are some bands every so often that you feel should have been discovered a lot sooner than usual, Sondura are one of these. When this album starts off it has a very Nickelback "Dark Horse" vibe (talking about sex via metaphors) and you know that there's going to be some fun to be had with this album.
Sondura cite themselves as a cross between Hundred Reasons, Alter Bridge and Priestess to name but a few that are mentioned off their Myspace and it's easy to hear why these bands are all cited. What I like about the album is that it's a very casual affair, full of hooks that will inevitably get stuck into your head very quickly (a trait that the singer is not ashamed in admitting is done on purpose!)
The band themselves are very tight together which gives the sound the crispness. The production helps to make it sound like a band already on their 3rd album rather than their debut, self released album!
Overall, "Live Before You Die" is a must for fans of the more casual side of rock/metal and Sondura should be big in the very near future.
