Swedish five piece Gasoline Queen have been around since 2004, earning a reputation for their sweaty, energetic and raw live shows. With names such as Dee “Fck” Fearless (lead vocals), Mart Wildheart (lead guitar) or Mad Dog (bass), you can probably guess what Gasoline Queen sound like. If not, let me introduce you these bad boys...

“Gas For The Underclass” is a four track EP of simple, rough, straight in your face 80’s inspired street rock. The kind you would have heard back then from people like LA Guns, and nowadays... still from LA Guns, but with a lot less energy. Songs like ‘Broke, Cursed and Damned’ are nothing new, starting with the title, but there’s a whole underground cult movement of Sunset Strip nostalgic's who will absolutely love this, plus this genre always has a very good outcome live. Motley Crue-ish ‘Down All Around’ would probably be a great show opener.

If the only thing you can bear about 80s hair metal is Steel Panther’ jokes don’t waste your time, but if you enjoy your dose of sex drugs and rock’n’roll, get your spandex and cowboy boots out of the closet, steal your girlfriend’s make up and hairspray and shake your sleazy ass to the sound of “Gas for the Underclass”: you can find it here Gas For The Underclass - Gasoline Queen - Musik - CDON.COM or on ITunes and you’ll still have change left out of a tenner for a JD & Coke!

Nice work Cristina, sounds like your kind of band. Did these guys send you music? I don't remember this being on the list is all.

They sent a few CDS to another site I occasionally write for to pass around.

Will have some more outside the Altsounds batch if that's cool with you, I think it's nice giving unsigned band a chance. Or advising them to stick to their daily jobs sometimes.

This is the first kind of music I've been reviewing, I was very much into this all 80s street and hair metal, you know, Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Faster Pussycat and so on. After meeting most of them. I turned to punk for some reason...
