Self Released
This first single from Shabby Rogue's second album "By Hook Or By Crook" has been around a while now but is still worthy of your attention. Oh yes, anyone who has even a passing interest in scuzzy garage rock should get their ears around this one.
Indeed, these lads have dirt under their fingernails and tales of debauchery to tell. 'My Life As a Secret Agent' itself is a paranoid exploration of a drug fuelled escapade as told by a 1960's surf band displaced in modern day London. It's warped, rough, simplistic and satisfying in a primal kind of way and sounds fucking great played really loud with a few whiskeys inside you.
What do you mean it sounds a bit like Caesars 'Jerk It Out'? You're crazy man, this ain't no car advert, this is a puke stained slice of beautiful nasty.
