The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza is probably one of the longest band names that I have encountered in my history of listening to music, although not one of the strangest. That honour has to go to a grindcore side project that consists of flatulence for vocals.
Following events after Danza II: Electric Boogaloo Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza went through quite some changes with both their guitar and bass players leaving the group leading for Josh Travis to do BOTH guitar and bass on Danza III. Mike Bradley was also introduced as the drummer for the group.
Tony Danza Tap Dance show that they can suddenly shift style before you can think they're this style of band with elements of tech, then suddenly djent (given the 8 string guitars) then hardcore, then death growls with ambient sounds. Now people that don't know why that is will suddenly be screaming either that it's a lot of noise or a giant clusterfuck, but having a band that can keep you guessing can be refreshing, the titles appeal to the cult fans with a song referencing Die Hard (Yippie Ki Yay ) and Wesley Snipes films! (Passenger 57).
Lyrically you can tell the frustration in Jesse Freeland's voice in the series of unfortunate events, and this is also done in the ruthless musicianship throughout.
Personally Danza III was a nice jumping on point for a full album after my first experience of them was doing a unique take on 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', if you like bit of craziness ala Iwrestledabearonce then this is for you!
