Whether you’re a fan of Classical, Metal or Folk put your differences aside and have a listen to ‘Call Me’. Take my word for it when I say that it WILL be three minutes well spent. ‘Call Me’ is the second single from The Pipettes latest album Earth Vs The Pipettes. On one hand ‘Call Me’ sounds like the soundtrack of an Austin Powers movie. However, on the other (slightly less sarcastic) hand ‘Call Me’ is erupting with utterly infectious pop. Whilst listening I could not help but bop in my chair.

Is it the harmonies of “ooooohs”? Is it the “sha la laaas”? Or is it simply the gorgeous and addictive melodies? Whatever it is that makes ‘Call Me’ so loveable one thing is for sure- Cheryl Cole had better watch out. The Pipettes have taken the word Pop and turned it inside out to reveal it’s true meaning. Their music simply screams 1980’s retro and to be perfectly honest... I love it!
