Please, please, please listen to this album. If you take nothing else from reading this then just remember to listen to Sara Jackson-Holman’s music. Ok? And no Sara’s not my best friend, my neighbour or my cousin. In fact she simply has an incredible voice and genuine talent. I’m certain that I’m not alone when I say that real talent is difficult to come across in this X Factor obsessed world. Miss Jackson-Holman’s voice is beautiful, there’s no question about it. Therefore it’s not surprising that she is a classically trained songwriter and pianist. Don’t let that put you off though; her voice is pure and far from pretentious.

Speaking about her album Sara said:

Each song means something different to me depending on the day. The thing I really love about music is that each listener brings his or her own life and experiences to each song, giving a song multiple meanings.

When You Dream opens with a Regina Spektor like number, ‘Come Back To Me’. The vocals weave perfectly among dancing piano keys. Similarly, the title track showcases Sara’s flawless voice as the gentle vocals carry the track and need little support from the music.

Also have a listen to ‘Cellophane’, a catchy number with vocals reminiscent of Adel or even Kate Nash. It is tracks like this that ensure Sara’s sounds remains fresh and enticing. Proving that she is more than just a pretty voice, Jackson-Holman showcases her creativity and the fact she is a high-class pianist.
