I made my way into Brooklyn,NY from manhattan to check out the band Kissinger for the first time. I had heard their records and was impressed with alot of the material. I figured if I was to tour in the fall with these guys it would be great to see them first.
It was clear they have themselves well rehearsed. Their live show was super tight, high energy rock&roll smacked with big guitar hooks, and superior presence. The front man named Chopper is a tall lanky rock dude fit for the stage but not for a windy thunder storm. The band as a whole, seemed very comfortable with each other and happy to be playing together on stage. I see far too many bands that look like they hate each other.
I would say Kissinger sounds like The talking heads meets the Blue Van. Two great combinations of quirkiness and biting presence.
