Paradise Fears is a South Dakota based pop band made up of six members – Sam Miller, Cole Andre, Michael Walker, Jordan Merrigan, Marcus Sand, and Lucas Zimmerman. After they recorded their debut EP, The Secret to Dropping Out, these boys quickly caught the attention of many.

Shortly, in 2010 they released their second EP, Make Them Believe, which also brought even more attention to this upcoming act. A little over a year later Paradise Fears released their debut album, Yours Truly, which just like their previous two EP’s captured the hearts of many. Since the release of their debut album, Paradise Fears spent many months on different tours, playing with popular pop acts such as The Ready Set, All Time Low and even The Summer Set. With just ending their first headlining tour and currently having some time off before hitting the road again opening up for Forever the Sickest Kids, this act continues to please their fans, this time with a release of their brand new single, ‘Home’.

WATCH // 'Home'

Fans have been patiently waiting for this new single to be released. ‘Home’ is just as catchy as their previous releases and it does not stray away from their previous pop sound. Paradise Fears’ latest single is incredibly catchy and is likely to get stuck in your head. ‘Home’ is fast beat and continues to get even faster as the song continues.

Lyrically, this is a touching song. The lyrics are strong and incredibly personal. This band has a way with words. In fact, while watching their music video it is likely that one will feel chills appear. With honest lyrics like, “Home, why am I everywhere but home? Why do I feel so alone when everybody's screaming out my name? I just wanna go home,” all that is real in this band is certainly portrayed.

‘Home’
is easily classified as a relatable and inspirational song. The explosive and powerful vocals are phenomenal and serve as proof that Sam Miller continues to show growth vocally with each release. The instrumentals beautifully complement Miller’s vocals throughout the entire song. Not only is this band vocally strong, but musically Paradise Fears displays much talent as well. Jordan Merrigan’s guitar solo is on key and really allows him to show his stuff. Lucas Zimmerman’s drumming skills are clearly portrayed and highly emphasized. He has certainly grown as a drummer and does a stand out performance throughout this song. Let’s not forget about the amazing skills that Cole Andre, Michael Walker, and Marcus Sand possess. They can each be found hardcore rocking out throughout the video enabling them to each display their instrumental talent as well. Adding strings to this song were a nice touch, the keyboard is clearly heard, and just as the rest of the instruments, greatly complemented Miller's vocals. Paradise Fears never disappoints, as they are always full of passion, emotion, and over the top incredible energy.

Overall, this song is wonderful and is sure to be a hit! This release is perfect in showing the maturity development of Paradise Fears and I believe that it is safe to say that this band will certainly continue to have much more success in the future. Although ‘Home’ has not yet been released on iTunes, you can stream the song via Pup Fresh or watch their music video.
