Most would expect something dumb to come from something that has the words ‘Born Blonde’ in it because of the common misconception of the intelligence of blondes. However this isn't the case for this alternative-pop act. London-based Born Blonde’s latest single ‘I Just Wanna Be’ as it is a stellar pop song with a soft yet mesmerizing sound.

The song easily captivates the listener by fully immersing you into the beautiful sound being heard. It is quite obvious that ‘I Just Wanna Be’ is a nicely produced track. The song is catchy, flows nicely, and the lyrics greatly complement the psychedelic harmonies. In addition to this, the single consists of respectable rhythmic beats that certainly help to make the song sound incredibly different, yet highly pleasant.

The song is not overly repetitive, has clear meaning, and contains a strong chorus. Without a doubt, this track is incredible with its obvious authenticity, space-feel, and mind-altering tone. Not afraid to stand out, Born Blonde have modeled their style to sound entirely different from most of today’s popular acts, therefore setting them apart and not allowing them to become another cliché artist. Showcasing their talent with their psychedelic beats, 90s generation influence, and euphoric sound, Born Blonde rise above the typical pop nostalgic feel, and instead introduce the listener to their own ideas of what a good song truly sounds like.

Clearly knowing what they are talking about ‘I Just Wanna Be’ is a thrilling listen and very much recommended for all open-minded music lovers. Taking a leap into the right direction,
Born Blonde has successfully crafted a great soft-beat, psychedelic, space feel single. Although this act is still working their way up the ladder of success in the music industry, Born Blonde is definitely an act to keep your eyes on. With the release of their debut album just months away, ‘I Just Wanna Be’ gives the listener an enjoyable taste of what this band has to come later this year.

The music video for ‘I Just Wanna Be’ was directed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch and the band’s bassist, Josh Lloyd-Watson. A strikingly interesting video containing space-rock sounds along with obvious lyrical themes of escapism. As the song portrays; the video points out recognizable themes throughout the featuring of an astronaut wandering the streets of London. Overall, the video greatly emphasizes and paints the picture of everything that the song is trying to do.
