Festival No. 6 - Day 2
The vibe at Festival No 6 is very relaxed and middle class, in fact it makes Latitude look like a Gypsy swing night in Peckham (a real thing by the way). Not a criticism, merely an observation and not to get all "in my day" about it, rather that than the piss throwing, tent igniting festivals that V and Reading have become. Having said that the sight of the Cath Kidston concession is slightly horrifying.
Back to the important part lest we forget; the music. Splashh hit the stage with a slight whimper sounding like a scuzzier Ride. Leading the grunge pop revival that probably never will be.

The Whip on the Festival No 6 Stage really shake off the cobwebs. They vibrate with energy and colour, the antidote to the inscrutable Spiritualized the night before.
This is the start of the rave/dance section of the day which continues with Gold Panda who cranks out likeable and uplifting house music.

Death in Vegas kick the nights proceedings off with their dirty, dirgy set with Richard Fearless taking centre stage on beats and guitar.
Primal Scream always pull it out of the bag no matter how many times they've played 'Movin' On Up' which they do tonight preceded by Bobbie Gillespie's standard Royalist baiting shtick; "if you hate the Royal Family, clap your hands". Despite the ranging experience in the band they all intermingle and play off against each other like they've been doing this together for 20 years.
