This one will be short and sweet, as wasting my time once again on music that is just ridiculous needs only a short mention.
Some of you may be screaming a little line that goes something like: “if you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything.” Either that or anything similar to it. If so, then you can just carry on reading and suck it up.
Here at AltSounds, we have the privilege to review pretty much everything we want to. And I want to review this piece of shit because I can, and just to annoy anyone out there that loves reading these reviews and leaving silly comments. To which we read and write back some witty response(s), or at least attempt to.
Anyway, it’s Mika.
Singing a little bit, with some sythesizers and a little guitar twangy sample. There is a few build-ups, some harmonies and a complete rip-off of Daft Punk’s patented electronic "sound." What makes this even more disappointing is Pharrell Williams jumping in now and again - we had so much respect for you Pharrell, now what have you come to?
The “much anticipated new album” The Origin Of Love is out in October at some point. But who gives a fuck? It’s Mika.
To sum up: Daft Punk rip-off that is also bad pop music. Done.
Mika - ‘Celebrate’ is out on September 30th on Island Records.
