Embrace The End - Counting Hallways To The Left [album]

Abacus Records

Did you like Haste, but wished they were more metal? Did you like Shai Hulud but felt they needed another vocalist? Or, did you think that a band with two vocalists was a bit too much? Well, you need to listen to this immediately...GO GET IT.... Anyways, the record (which features members of Killing The Dream and First Blood) has two dudes rocking on the mic.... one with growler, more metal vocals, and one with more of a converge feel, more hardcore oriented. The guitars go from crunchy and umber-heavy, to hella melodic on the fly, and the drummer, HE IS A ****ING MACHINE ON THE DRUMS...double bass and odd time signatures abound...this is just the first (of hopefully more) release of ETE, and it is VERY SOLID, not just typical mosh metal core when you know where the dance parts are, they uniqueness of the record is more along time and signature changes, and the emphasis of both vocal attacks make this one a great start for everyone sick and tired of paint by the numbers metalcore...congrats
