When I got this record, the kid who sold it to me told me Envy was "The reason Japan was invented"...bold and kind of silly, but this CD is...EPIC, and I mean EPIC. This first song is almost nine (9) minutes. It is post hardcore; it is also dark, chaotic and twisting. The songs mostly sung in English do have Japanese lyrics as well. The coolest thing from the layout is the Kanji (Japanese characters) and a direct English translation. It is awesome for that alone. Musically, it is just like I said before...I don’t know...its on Level-Plane, so ya know its going to be good.... there is a lot here and I think YOU should get this...the closest comparison I can give is that its kind of like SCATTER THE ASHES meets LickGoldenSky, but more melodic, and much darker, it fits well and has more than just simple lyrics...there is some deep philosophy going on...I don’t know at this point, I can’ keep this up much longer.... buy now.
