Alright, I was sent this single in the post and was asked to give a review of it.

Now as soon as I put this CD in I am totally confused as it is a mellow musical piano type jive that just keeps going and going with no vocals, just some synths, some piano, drums etc.

To add to my confusion the CD cover and everything is for Mogwai - Friend of the Night. However, my Windows Media Player is telling me that the song is called "Because I Got High" from the album "The Good Times" by the artist "Afroman".

So at this point I have no idea whether or not there has been some major ****up with the distro of this or what. Am I listening to Afroman or is this really Mogwai's new track?? If it is Mogwai's new track, it is a boring piece of musical shit. The song does nothing, contains no vocals, and is quite simplistic. It sounds as if Mogwai no longer have the talent to write lyrics so they just play music which they aren't that great at.

However, I may be slagging off Mogwai when in fact I am listening to Afroman!!



I don't know or care to be honest. Whatever it is I am listening to is a waste of my time and is pure crap. Hopefully for Mogwai's sake this is not their new single and some dumb ass in the CD plant that manufactured these pre release CDs copied a few thousand copies of "Afroman" to promote his friends band or just in error. Trust me when I say that would be better than this actually being Mogwai's new single.
