Some Girls – Heaven’s Pregnant Teens…

OK, I am not going into how this is a super-group, google it to find out for yourselves.
Art-wise, this is decent, shocking, and minimalist. The pregnant nun still brings a sick smile to my face every time I look at it. And to be honest, I wasn’t sure how to take this release at first.
Musically, it is the most abrasive release by Some Girls to date. While this is a more sped up and spastic release than the previous two (The DNA… and All My Friends…), the distortion of this may turn off many people. Some Girls still sticks to their guns of writing stripped down no-frills hardcore.
Lyrically, I have no idea where the hell Wes Eisold is going, that’s his agenda and that is left to your interpretation. This is a solid first full length from a band that will no doubt be legendary.
I liked this, but there is far too much open to interpretation as far as lyrical content is concerned. Minus some heavy distortion and ear shattering feedback, this is worth picking up. Some of hardcores’ biggest smart asses return with another kick in the teeth to scene kids and nay sayers alike You have been warned…
