Every wonder what Skarhead and Hatebreed mixed together would sound like? Icepick is the answer.

It was an answer that, for one reason or another, took 9 long years to come to fruition. Was it worth it? Yes, yes it was.

Expect lyrics about loyalty, friendship, turmoil, struggle, and things that USED to define a hardcore band before girlpants were all the rave in the “scene”. The hipster scene kids will probably hate this, but **** them, I LOVE this release.

The demo’s on the internet don’t do this release justice, the teaser from Danny Diablo’s “Street CD Vol.2” don’t do it justice, the UFC soundtracks don’t do it justice, the full record does it justice.

What about guest appearances? This CD has them, and it is a true who’s who of hardcore, real hardcore, the veterans. (they include Freddy Madball, Pete Morcey, Paul Bearer, Al Barr, Roger Miret, and Ice-T aka Iceberg, who is my one of my favorite TV detectives on Law and Order: SVU btw), and even though there is only ONE song that has them, it makes this record that much better.

It has good parts (two-step, pile-on, breakdowns, sing-a-longs) and those parts add up to make a great record. Just to let you know, Jacob Bannon of Converge/Deathwish Inc. fame stopped by to make the artwork for the record, and I must say, good job. Seriously, get this as soon as you can, and if you act quickly, its even got a great Stillborn Records label sampler. …Its going down faggots…
