Vegan, Straight-Edge hardcore with more militancy than you can shake a stick at returns after long 8 years.

Now, for those of you who dont know who The Path is, they were once a side-project of the giants known as Earth Crisis. Rather than rest on the whole ex-member laurels, The Path come out swinging bringing more straight-forward, uncompromising Syracuse hardcore. There are no frills, no sub-genre categorizations needed for this record, it is real, it is honest, it is what hardcore was in the mid to late 90s.

So why return and make a record now you ask? Ill tell you, they were one of the few bands whose notoriety was garnered for a simple message of being straight-edge and vegan, and actually fighting for it. Are the breakdowns of more modern hardcore here? Yes. Well then, how about the multi-vocal assaults? Also present here. (this time w/ only 2 main vocalists instead of the three like on Who Dares Wins) And yes, there are more gang-vocals than ever.

While this record may be a little tamer than the previous effort to the uninitiated, I can assure you that the messages are there, and given just as vitriolic as previous, if not more on "Can't Stop the Truth". There is no mediocrity, there is no compromise, and there is no reason you shouldnt get this release.

While I may not agree with every last message, the idea of overcoming obstacles, and keeping your life as pure as possible is a good start for many of the youth to start understanding and embracing. While the militancy may not attract the largest of audiences, this release will help show that the straight-edge movement and veganism movements are alive and thriving. So break out your old jerseys facemasks, and get into this.
