Enter Shikari are an example of a band that has made themselves infamous without the help of anyone other than themselves and their music. All over the UK you can mention the name Enter Shikari and a lot of people would know who they are. I knew who they were and were always keen to check out what all the hype was about.
"Mothership" which is the only song on this single starts off and it sounds more like a techno song than anthing else and I am mighty confused. Then the rest kicks in and it is a stereotypical screamo band with Techno keyboards. That's the only difference between this band and any other "screamo" band that's ever existed.
It's not a bad song I am just so bored of hearing the same type of sounds without anyone pushing the boundaries. If you think adding a techno sounding synth is pushing the boundaries then you would be sadly mistaken. I really do actually think this band would be better if they admitted that they weren't different and just dropped the synth. Overall a pretty good song thats left me wanting more.
Not really what I was expecting after all. Proves that Public Enemy were right when they said "Don't Believe The Hype".
