In various interviews, Jordan Pundik of New Found Glory has confidentially called their fifth studio album, Coming Home, “the one that will stand the test of time”.

Consistent with previous albums, Coming Home contains a lot of the elements that has made NFG who they are (poppy melodies, catchy songs, slower rhythms), just taken to the next level.

Coming Home is overloaded with notable guests including Benmont Tench (of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) on keyboard/piano, guest vocals by the band Eisley, as well as background vocals by Thom Panunzio (coincidentally also the album’s producer) and Paul Miner.

As the title suggests, the entire record has a theme to it. It only takes one listen to figure out the album opener "Oxygen" is about not being able to breathe without that special person. And the first single, "It's Not Your Fault," captures the essence of young love and heartbreak with lyrics like, “There were rapid statements about life commitments, A Sense Of Heat, That I Couldn't Bare To Touch…”

Overall, the delivery of the album is honest and real. There’s no doubt that the band has matured, rather refined, their songwriting technique without changing too much or creating a disappointing surprise for longtime fans of the band.

This CD is a stellar release from one of the best bands of the day, and there’s no doubt that Coming Home just might be the New Found Glory album to stand the test of time.
