Frommars are another beloved Booby Trap Records signing. Based out of Newport in Wales, these guys certainly don’t share more than their hometown with the slightly more famous Goldie Lookin’ Chain. Rock is what these guys do best, and the driving guitars and punching drums will certainly vouch for that.

The three song EP is not for the faint hearted. Each song starts with a bang, getting right in there, almost in an “At The Drive-In” kind of way. Very energetic and magnetic riffs immediately pull you into Frommars’ world. All the musicians in this band are very talented, and I found myself very in awe of the drummer. These guys have found their own sound, and know how to make the listener feel the pain and darkness the song evoke. Immediately anger and pain are the driving forces felt, but also a frustration at the apathy that has seemed to fall over our generation like a heavy fog. “Fallout” encapsulates this calling its listeners to “seize the day!”

With more than a handful of shows around the UK in the coming months, you don’t have an excuse to miss these guys. I have certainly found their directness and energy refreshing and know that a live show with these guys promises to be even more electrifying.
