From the brief impression afforded by this single; The Hedrons could be a band of many diverse qualities or absolutely none at all. There is very little variety through this single, and it's always harder to judge a band in general based on one song which is just under three minutes long.
Mixing elements of straight up rock/indie as well as a definite punk connection, for the greater part the song seems to be searching for the correct place to be, the chorus; though indicative of lots of raw passion with the vocals in a live environment, just seems repetitive and droning, this is the case for the whole song, the lead vocals are quite tiresome, and the simple guitar progression is hardly anything worth note.
Potentially, with more lively production or a slightly spicier mix of guitars and vocals through the song this single could leave more than a dull taste in the mouth; the basic elements to the song are all in place, it just needs a little push in the right direction. Hopefully the forthcoming album which this single is taken from, 'One More Won't Kill Us' will be a bit more varied and enjoyable.
