Danger Radio – Punch Your Lights Out EP
Photofinish Records February 6, 2008, 03:53 PM The opening song on the CD is bizarre but the band made a good choice for ‘Party Foul’ to be the first one. Bouncing beats, great harmonies and same with the main vocals. At one point, the music seemed to have washed out Andrew De Torres’ vocals. Perhaps that was meant to happen, but it didn’t seem like it should have been.
Danger Radio did a good job with keeping the CD interesting and different throughout. With the unexpected beats within the music, on synth, guitar and drums. They did well to mix it all up and at the same time, not get boring.
The vocals are very similar to other bands such as Seth’s from The Higher, but I think the outcome has come out better with Danger Radio. Also the vocals sound alike to Shaant’s voice from CIWWAF. The unusual tracks throughout the CD make this enjoyable to listen too. With the great opener song, they managed to make the right choice for the last song. The drums stand out the most on the last track and having the subtle guitars and keyboard made ‘Punch Your Lights Out’ become a great finish to the CD.
