Slaves To Gravity Mr Regulator (Promo)
Gravitas Records February 11, 2008, 10:26 AM Slaves To Gravity are a 4 piece rock, alternative grunge outfit hailing from the big smoke, and this 2 song promo release is taken from their debut album Scatter The Crow. First track Mr Regulator will appeal to those fans after their grungy rock and roll, with chunky guitars and pounding drums. I find the whole song really monotonous, from the vocals to the tempo of the song it just fails to do anything. It would appear that on this promo release they have included 2 very different songs to show a versatile side of the band. Power Lines shows a mellower side to Slaves To Gravity, and the band sound so much better. There is more dynamics to the song with atmospheric guitar riffs and subtle underlying vocals, which creates a much more interesting combination. A mixed bag release, which doesnt give much away about the album, the band has a busy April where you can catch them touring throughout the UK. Words by Joel Ross
